It started back in 1999 with just a handful of seeds — collards, okra, and tomatoes passed down and preserved. Seeds you couldn’t always find in stores. Seeds that carried flavor, history, and resilience.
From that moment, the mission was clear: preserve what’s rare, share what’s good, and help people grow wherever they are. Raised beds, fabric pots, patios, or a corner of the yard — Dirty South Seeds is about making gardening possible in any space.
These aren’t just seeds. They’re pieces of legacy — saved, shared, and planted to help families be more sustainable, more connected, and more rooted.

Keyth has been working with soil, seeds, and seasons for a long time. He first discovered his passion for gardening alongside his grandmother, and in 1999 he experienced his first true gardening success — a moment that sparked a lifelong love for growing. Over the years, he has seen plants thrive and wither, each teaching him lessons of patience, resilience, and the rewards of steady work.
For Keyth, gardening is more than food — it is legacy. Just as heirloom seeds pass from generation to generation, so does the wisdom of planting, harvesting, and preserving. Gardening, he believes, is never just about today’s meal, but about tomorrow’s inheritance.
